It’s been a big week for J. This week was his very first day of school, and it was impossible to miss how excited he was. We saw it in his eyes, in his smile, and even in his annoyance when he had to leave later than the other kids. Our team assured him, “You’re still going to school. We just have to leave a little later than the rest of the kids.” We’re not sure that really helped.
But when J finally arrived at school, he completely forgot about us. He wasn’t interested in hearing the rules or when we would pick him up at the end of the day. His moment had finally come; he was a student! As you can imagine, J had a great first day, and it was even better as he saw familiar faces of other children from the Baby Centre. Together, they learned and played–rolling and chasing a tire. We are so happy J is not only able to attend school, learn, and grow, but also that he enjoys it and looks forward to each day.
