NMC's Child Sponsorship Program

What is it?
The Adopt-A-Baby Program is a 6 month commitment to pray for and support financially one of the children at the AGC Baby Centre in Kenya.

What am I expected to pay?
We ask that you make a commitment of at least $10 per month. That can be paid in the monthly envelopes included in the adoption packet. Or you can give online through the Nappanee Missionary Church Online Giving web page.  You can link to that page by clicking on the picture on the right underneath the title "Donate Now".  Many sponsors choose to pay the full amount at once. Any unused envelopes can be returned to the ministry center.

Will the support money I give go to my baby only?
All money received goes into a general baby fund to support all babies at the baby centre. This prevents overfunding of any particular child.

How much of my sponsorship money goes directly to the baby center?
100% of the gifts received through the Adopt-A-Baby program goes directly to the baby centre.

Is my contribution tax deductable?
Yes.  If you include your giving envelope # on the envelope with your payment, it will be applied to your yearly giving statement.  If you do not attend Nappanee Missionary Church, you will need to provide your full address so we can send you a statement.

What if my baby is adopted during the 6 month period?
We praise God because that is the goal of the AGC Baby Centre - to find homes for orphaned and abandoned children!  Depending on how close it is to the next "Adoption Sunday", you may either choose to finish out your support with that child and choose a different one on adoption Sunday.  Or if there are several months left, you may choose a new child from the rack in the Grand Hall and switch your support to that child.   If you do not attend Nappanee Missionary Church, simply contact me by email: jjlengacher@frontier.com and I will be glad to send you a new packet.

What is "Adoption Sunday"?
Every 6 months there will be tables set up in the Grand Hall and in Connection where you can choose a new packet to continue to sponsor the baby you had for the previous 6 months. If your baby is no longer there or if you simply would like to sponsor a new child, you can choose one of them at that time.

How do I keep updated on the child I sponsor?
The best way to keep updated is through this blog. If you choose to follow by email, you will automatically receive a notice whenever a new post has been added.  Each child will have at least one post to update you at some time during your 6 month commitment, You can also follow us on facebook at NMC and the Kenya Baby Centre.
