Abishai Shem is a sweet little boy. He was moved to the "big kids" wing when we were there. And he was not at all happy about that. We heard him boisterously crying starting very early on the day of the move. We were staying in the apartment above Wing C. This went on intermittently throughout the day. I finally asked Millie, the director's wife, what was going on. She told me about Abishai's move and when we looked down over the playground we could see him crying at the gate looking longingly towards Wing B where he had just come from. Poor little guy! The caregivers were very sweet and loving to him. One of them told me "he will be better in the morning". Sure enough, the next day he was still a little sad, but he was done crying. He will probably actually enjoy it as this wing has a lot more structured activities for him to be involved in. Abishai is growing healthy and strong. But he really needs parents of his very own. Please join me in prayer that they arrive soon!
