21 June 2010 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” ~Isaiah 43:2, 4~
Once again we have reached a new milestone at AGC Baby Centre—41 babies! We were phoned this afternoon by one of our local Children’s Officers to say that a newborn baby had been found in a small town nearby. Baby Gloria was most likely born sometime late last night or early this morning and was found today by some children on their way to school. We give God glory that she seems to have been found soon after having been abandoned and, therefore, doesn’t seem to have any major issues. She was definitely in need of a good bath and some healthy food, but otherwise seems like a healthy little girl.
When I think back to those first few months of 2006, I remember how we couldn’t seem to connect with any babies in need and how we questioned if this ministry was still needed. We prayed, and put the entire project before the Lord, asking once again for a fresh sense of His leadership and wisdom. He gave us peace as we continued to wait for His timing and favor in receiving babies in need. When I see now how many babies Jesus has been able to touch through AGC Baby Centre, there is no doubt in my mind about the need of this ministry and what He wants to do here. We give Him glory in the highest for all He has done and is doing! Today, pray with us for baby Gloria—that her life may always bring glory to the God who created and redeemed her. And let’s celebrate all that God has done here!
Giving Him all the glory,
