A home of their own!

A childless Kenyan couple prayed for years for a child of their own to hold and to love. They wondered, did God hear them? Was He even listening?

2.3 million orphans in Kenya have no one to hold them and love them. Their little stomachs are bloated from hunger. They cry in their sleep. Does God hear their cries? Does he even care?

A rescue center in Nairobi is trying their best to save and place orphaned and abandoned children. They take in newborns even though they are not equipped for the special needs and additional care infants need. They struggle to find a suitable facility to send them to. They ask: Lord, are you sending someone to help? Does anyone even care that innocent babies are suffering and dying?

A construction manager and his wife, a nurse, hear God calling them to a life so different from what they know. Their hearts are broken for children they have never met. They are compelled to leave their own grown children to go to Kenya to help them. They wonder: Lord, is this Your plan? Are we hearing you right?

A baby center in Ngata, Kenya is open and ready to take in children yet it's been three months and no babies fill their empty cribs. They pray: God did we do something wrong? Is this Your will?

God did not open up heaven and proclaim His will in a thundering voice for all the world to hear. Instead he sent a baby. In fact he sent two: Mary and Benson. At just around three months old, they became the beginning of an answer to so many prayers. After their arrival the floodgates opened and babies began pouring in. Soon the nursery was too full and God sent a church to help build a bigger nursery: OURS!

The goal of finding homes for these babies is in full swing. The very first babies, Mary and Benson, are the most recently adopted to that childless couple who prayed and God heard them.

God is listening to the cries of his people. Mary and Benson's journey to a home of their own is evidence to His answer. But the journey for many other babies is not over. For some it has yet to begin. With Mary and Benson's adoption an opening was made for baby Moses K. to come (yes there are three Moses' now!). Very soon we will be able to double and triple the amount of babies we are helping now. But for God to answer, his people need to be faithful to hear his call. Your faithful giving has provided a base for the baby center to go the next step. Your faithful service has provided a facility to take that next step. And your faithful prayers have provided an atmosphere that God can move and accomplish His work in. Thank you for your faithfulness. If you have not yet become involved we hope you will consider it today - because each child deserves a home of their own. And they're worth it!
